Dr. Daniel Glade, M.D.
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Daniel Glade to Westover Hills Dermatology. Dr. Glade is a Board-eligible Dermatologist proficient in cosmetic, surgical, and medical dermatology, dedicated to providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages.
Education and Training:
Dr. Glade graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 2015, where he was awarded a full-tuition academic scholarship. He pursued his medical degree at UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine, graduating with a “Distinction in Research” in 2020. During medical school, he received multiple scholarships, including the Bowen-Vogt Fund Scholarship and the Saenz Trust Fund Scholarship.
Following medical school, Dr. Glade completed his intern year in Internal Medicine at Creighton University in Phoenix, AZ. He then returned to UT Health San Antonio to complete his Dermatology residency, where he served as the Chief Resident for Academics in his final year (2023-2024).
Professional Experience and Research:
Dr. Glade has an impressive background in research, having worked in a lab during his first year of medical school studying the relationship between endogenous glucocorticoids and non-melanoma skin cancer. His research has been presented at prestigious conferences, including the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Annual Meeting and the World Congress on Advanced Treatments & Technologies in Skin Cancer. He has numerous publications in reputable journals such as JAAD International, Cutis, and the Journal of Pediatrics.
His professional experience includes serving as a phlebotomist for the American Red Cross and a swim coach at Lone Peak High School, demonstrating his commitment to community service and mentorship.
Specializations and Interests:
Dr. Glade specializes in procedural, cosmetics, and general dermatology. He is particularly passionate about treating a diverse range of patients, from newborns with hemangiomas to elderly patients with skin cancer. He values the immediate impact dermatologic care can have on patients’ lives, addressing visible conditions that often require urgent care.
Professional Affiliations:
Dr. Glade is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Texas Dermatology Society, staying actively involved in the latest advancements and best practices in dermatology.
Personal Interests:
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Glade enjoys cooking, riding his tandem bike, swimming laps, playing pickleball and volleyball, and creating music videos with his children. If not in the medical field, he would have pursued a career in film, reflecting his creative and dynamic personality.
Dr. Glade aims to provide high-quality dermatologic care to the Northwest side of San Antonio. His diverse interests and dedication to patient care make him a valuable addition to our team.
