"Yessss I am much better - I am black, dx is psoriasis and seen by a dermatologist. It was spreading with the treatment I was given. My husband saw Dr O, different problem, with a great outcome. I got a referral to see her and my psoriasis is almost gone. I referred someone else of color to Dr Opeola, for similar issue. It is cleared up now. She knows what she is doing and has excellent staff working for her. I highly recommend her regardless of your color. "

She revealed that my Tinea Versicolor was misdiagnosed (since 2013) and helped me get on the right track to treat progressive macular hypomelanosis. Highly recommend her to anyone and everyone!"

"I had a less than ideal initial experience with the nurse practitioner, who made some unfair assumptions about me and dismissed some of my concerns. Hopefully it was just a misunderstanding. Kudos to Dr. Opeola for following up personally and making it right. The office staff was great as well. I'll continue to use this office for my hopefully rare dermatology needs."

"I didnât know how else to get in touch with Dr. Opeola to thank her other than a review. I saw her in 2017, while she was at Derm SA (Iâve had terrible experiences with Derm SA after she left so Iâve since stop giving business to them). I saw her about 2 months before my wedding day. I had spent years trying to control my adult acne that started my first year of college. Spent hundreds of dollars on products trying to find something that worked for me. Nothing did until I saw Dr. Opeola and she prescribed me medication that cleared my skin FAST and has kept it clear the last 2 and a half years. She was caring and understood that I wanted clear skin for my wedding day, as well as clear skin for my job as a school teacher (I look young enough, acne only made me look even more like a teenager). I wish I could still see her but she moved and I moved and itâs just not possible. But she helped me get some confidence back and if sheâs as any where as caring as she was a couple years ago, sheâs definitely worth it!"

"I had sun/age spots on my back that were misdiagnosed & scalp condition I caught from the gym. After much aggravation an Urgent Care Physicianâs Assistant referred me to Dr. Opeola to make certain the condition had healed. Problem solved. I was treated with respect and listened to while I was explaining the symptoms. I was reassured that my scalp was recovering. I went back to have some spots removed. The wait was not long and the staff was friendly & efficient. I would recommend her."
"My wife recommended this physician due to professionalism, action plan, and availability to schedule an exam. So, I followed the guise of my wife and she scheduled an appointment for me. As I arrived at 730, I entered a welcoming lobby filled with patients while being greeted by friendly staff members. I was called back to her office at my scheduled time and the physician came in, examined me, and offered several solutions to my nagging problems. Once she prescribed some medications, I was set to go! Finally, my wife has helped me find a physician who can handle my nagging skin problems and ease my apprehensive "white coat" fears. So, you must schedule an appointment for any skin problems because she will take care of them."

I feel better than ever! Westover Hills Dermatology came up on my search as one of the BEST skin doctors in San Antonio and they were RIGHT! Mona and the office staff are super professional and friendly. I visited with Dr. O and she was FANTASTIC. I told my husband the great results I had and he made his appointment. He had skin tacks and Ike and Linda were the best. Linda was so gentle and the service was excellent. Ike is a wonderful nurse practitioner and was very helpful and kind. Since Sept '18 as a patient, my skin is so radiant, smooth, and the acne has been kept under control. I don't need to wear a make-up foundation to cover dark spots anymore. Based on individual issues of patients, Dr. O decides on the best approach. She takes care of skin rashes, biopsies, hair removal (or laser), certain surgeries, and other services. Please look at her website or call the office in order to inquire about what services are available and what healthcare is accepted. Tricare and Medicare is also accepted. She does what she can to advise what is best in order to save you money. One point that needs to be mentioned -- you may need to wait up to 45 minutes beyond your appt time because of her quality care and increase of patients but it is well worth it. One more important fact -- I call her the 'Hollywood' Dermatologist."

"If I could give more than 5 stars I would!Firstly, I would like to note that when it came to medicinal issues, I favored the Homeopathic approach over the Allopathic one. I had been successful with "self-treatment' in the past; but, that was not so with this case.When I first made the acquaintance with the doctors at my first appointment, I was itching all over and had rashes :-( I also brought digital pictures detailing how I initially attempted to resolve the problem. They reviewed my issue and then prescribed external and internal medicines to address it. Although I was more than open to a topical solution, I had some reservations that centered around the ingesting of medication. I had no doubt that they were concerned about my situation; and (unlike other doctors), actually wanted to help me. It was the Pharmaceutical Companies (aka "Big Pharma") that I had some concerns with (after seeing documentaries on Netflix and CBS' "60 Minutes" LOL ). What I greatly appreciated was the empathy. They actually listened. She wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with the treatment - showing a really great bedside manner :-) I eventually agreed to the use of medicine; and, I am so glad I did! After about 2 weeks, my remaining symptoms had vanished and I was healing.I have been to THREE DERMATOLOGISTS in the past who had little time for me beyond telling me "I don't know" or prescribing an uber-expensive drug (advertised in the main-stream media) for my treatment (after reviewing my case for a total of three minutes). For the first time in MANY, MANY years, I have found excellent doctors who are highly knowledgeable, compassionate and ~really~ care for the well-being of their patients. I told the AP that they are helping me to re-consider the virtues of Allopathic medicine again."
"I want to give five stars to Dr. Opeola and staff at this clinic. I am a senior, have had acne all my life. After the first visit with proper topical medication, the problem with acne is almost gone! What's the good news? Medicare helped to defray the cost of the visit and medication. After two months, my face looks and feels smooth and clear. The recommended treatment works! Check out Dr. O's education background. It is very impressive and she is highly skilled for other dermatologic procedures. San Antonio is blessed to have Dr. O. "I'd give 6 stars if I could! After doing some gardening I gradually had an allergic reaction. I went to a walk in clinic and they prescribed steroids, it got worse and I ended up in the ER. Upon discharge they recommended I follow up with a dermatologist. I looked up dermatologists on my insurance website and took a gamble with this one and made an appointment. My condition continued getting worse until I went to this appointment. Thank God they were able to help me! The office is very clean and pleasant, staff were friendly, I was called back to a room promptly, the medical assistant introduced herself and her role, then the NP arrived (my appointment was with him). He was very professional yet personable and empathetic. After he assessed everything, the doctor also came in and they discussed the best treatments for me. They explained the medications and when/how I should use them. The doctor was also very professional and personable. I went today for a 2 week follow up. I am much better and they both again came into the room to check on me and make the best plan for moving forward. Both the doctor and NP seemed highly intelligent without being condescending or judgmental. I wish all medical staff interacted with patients as well as they do. I also LOVE that they have 7:30am appointments so I didn't have to miss work."

"When I was searching for a dermatologist, I called multiple offices that ranked well on Yelp (4-5 stars). Out of the offices that I called, Dr. Opeola's costs were the lowest. (To clarify, when I was shopping around, I did not have insurance.) I visited Dr. Opeola for the first time in August 2017, and then again today. She is absolutely fantastic and my favorite doctor! She's friendly and funny and sharp as a whip. She'll give you recommendations and prescriptions that are right for you. She is hesitant about recommending certain products unless she feels that her patients absolutely need them (i.e. she does not try to up-sell expensive and unnecessary products). Her office gives out samples of products, which is also great. She also actually ended up helping me with other medical costs by informing me about SingleCare, which is a program that can help lower the cost of prescriptions. I cannot recommend her enough!"
